We welcome Maria Machtdieweltbunt and Can Hlubek to our Berlin Mixtape Series. Can is one half of Animal Swing Kids, a duo that combines Electronic Music from Deep House to Techno with classical instruments such as violins!
Together with Thomas Lizzara they featured on their first EP called Mamo on Hamburg label Ton liebt Klang, going on to release their second EP “Russendisko” on the same Label alone as Animal Swing Kids.Shortly after they embarked on a collaboration with Pysh und Jonas Saalbach (Track id Pysh-Donna –Jonas Saalbach Animal Swing Kids Remix) leading to many festival and club appearances across Berlin and Germany.
Can is a born and bred Berliner and will often be playing as a resident for Klangkost and Irrlichterliebe events around Berlin as well as regular radio appearances at Mischwerk FM.
For Maria, what else is there to say when someone has such a beautiful name? Maria 'Machtdieweltbunt' translates to Maria 'Makestheworldcolourful' and she sure does with her mix of deep, sassy house and techolicious sprinkles of addictive rhythms and melodies.
