We are back for the Bank Holiday Weekend to bring you more Berlin vibes. A big thank you to all that partied with us at the end of April - Kellerkind in particular loved playing for us and commented how awesome the crowd was and what an amazing vibe we had - Thanks again you lovely People. So this month: Line-ups: Just Her - [Suara | Stil vor Talent | Einmusika | Constant Circles | Toolroom] A heavily in-demand DJ, producer and musician, her stellar songwriting and engineering work with Him_Self_Her has propelled her into the upper reaches of the underground music scene, landing releases with world class labels such as Toolroom & Crosstown Rebels, a wealth of Beatport chart positions, an Essential New Tune on Radio 1 and gigs all over the world. Just Her marks the start of another chapter in her journey. Already making serious waves under her solo moniker, she has secured original releases with Suara & Save Us Records plus remixes on Motek, Serkal, Chapter 24 and Click Records within just a few months. Not only that she has been releasing on Berlin labels Einmusika, Monog, Stil vor Talent and Stuttgart label Parquet, as well as Dave Seaman's label Selador. With her own label Constant Circles launching this year, a bi-weekly radio show on London-based station Bloop, and a growing reputation for technical prowess on the decks, Just Her is fast developing a loyal following from around the globe. Expect deep melodic emotion-filled grooves from House and Electronica through to Techno. Tom Luka - [Horizon Recordings | Codesouth.FM | Missing People] At Berlin we invest a lot of time not only in featuring music from ze German capital and Germany but also focusing on the talent in our own city right here in Brighton. Tom Luka is an amazing DJ and Producer with shades of Nu Disco , Silky House and Tech House that very few artists play right now. Tom is also the co-owner of local label Horizon Recordings, which follows on the blend of luscious, funky vibes. Tom also recently kickstarted his own night called Missing People with the last event held in February at Mono featuring Ishmael , Ulex and of course himself, with the next one showcasing in Bristol. Outside of that you can find Tom on the airwaves every Thursday 3-6pm on Codesouth.FM with the Horizon Recordings Radio Show. An amazing talent with a real ear for addictive and foot tapping turntablism. MI:LK - [Ministry | Bloc] We are pleased to announce that MI:LK will be joining us for our Bank Holiday Weekend. MI:LK aka Caroline Brunnen will be showcasing her German roots and love of the Berlin underground with her much loved bouncy and grooving style. MI:LK has been cutting her teeth on London's DJ scene with gigs at underground parties, warehouses, super clubs and festivals and is now bringing her energy to Brighton, MI:LK leads with great experience and passion from countless hours spent behind the decks. She's set the pace at the likes of Ministry of Sound [London], Bloc [Brighton] and is known for her skilfully curated sets and deep, driving bass. MI:LK's trademark upbeat sound and bouncing vibes have earned her a strong following wherever she sets up and plugs in. Boom!
DJ Markus Saarländer [ Berlin - Brighton, Trickstar Radio ] Join Mr Berlin himself Markus, who will be bringing his melodic and emotive sound mixed in with some serious fun and groove to end the night. Markus started Berlin Brighton in 2014 with the simple aim of bringing a slice of Berlin to the city by showcasing underground sounds from multiple genres not just Techno. Berlin has become one of Brighton's most respected club nights with many collaborations, pop-up parties, two radio shows and of course the famous seafront beach terrace parties. Markus has also made numerous appearances on other radio shows, festivals & club nights across the country as well as in Barcelona, Ibiza and Germany. We want to bring you some of the best up and coming artists and continue to share with you ground breaking underground music. To do that we need to finance the night and we can no longer fund it for free especially if we're bringing over artists from Berlin. We are still the cheapest club night in Brighton and we aim to keep to that and make underground music accessible to all
