We are proud to announce that we are to continue our partnership with Berlin label Monog Records. Linking up with our good friend and label owner Bruno Otranto, we will will be premiering Monog Releases over the coming months. A very exciting partnership and we can't wait to showcase the amazing sounds from this lovely imprint. This is a label that has been making waves for some time and has certainly attracted recognition and respect on the Berlin circuit.

In addition expect interviews and guest mixes from label artists as we welcome back our Berlin Mixtapes series too. Next in line is Ronan Portela who also joins Monog with a solid debut on remix duties. He boasts an equally impressive release count and support base. Ronan hails from Buenos Aires and has been producing and djing House music since the '90s. Today his music ranges from minimal tech to deep house. In 1999, Ronan released his debut album on URL Records.

Ronan is one of the main artists in South America where his music has been released on most of the prestigious labels all over the world. With a career that spans almost 2 decades, Ronan has developed many productions that goes from Lounge music and Soulful House from the early 2000’s to nowadays House, Tech House and Techno with a unique and personal style. Ronan is considered one of the biggest music projection thanks to releases on SCI+TEC, Mindshake, Agile, Foundsound, Deeperfect, Trapez, Stereo Productions, Suruba X, Traum Schallplatten, Area Remote, Bla Bla, Little Helpers and the list goes on.

His records are regularly charted and played the likes of Luciano, Richie Hawtin, Paco Osuna, Dubfire, Ricardo Villalobos, Marco Carola, Ray Okpara, Barem, Jeff Samuel, Someone Else, Joris Voorn, Stefano Noferini, Los Suruba, Uto Karem, Matthias Tanzmann, Layo & Bushwacka!, Martinez, Alex Under and many more. All of this allows him to perform in Argentina and South America’s best clubs like Crobar, Pacha and Bahrein from Buenos Aires, Soulvision Festival (Sao Paulo), La Feria (Santiago de Chile), Dragon De Barranco (Lima), Rioma (Mexico DF) as well as Europe’s clubs and festivals; Aquasella Festival (Asturias), Club4 (Barcelona), Studio 80 (Amsterdam) and Playground (Helsinki) just to name a few.

Kicking off this month's release Ronan’s remix of Free Ride takes us on a sublime, deep and minimal journey filled with trippy filtered sequences and bubbling basslines which drive the groove. Wholly infectious and perfect for the later sessions.
